Optimize your vessel performance with our innovative and high-quality boiler treatment solutions.
The rollout for OCIMF SIRE 2.0 has been planned in four phases, with the final rollout happening by 2024. Upon which, all vessel inspections will be conducted with the updated SIRE 2.0 questionnaire. Here’s what you need to know to remain compliant for gas welding:
- Ensure the AC-OX gas hoses are in compliance with ISO 3821 / EN 559 and in good condition by performing bend test and visual inspection.
- Ensure all Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for Gas Welding and Cutting use is well maintained.
The updated RightShip RISQ 3.1 questionnaire highlights the importance of pressure regulators and flashback arrestors in preventing gas-related accidents onboard, and has been recently updated with new guidelines on equipment use to further improve safety. Here’s what you need to know:
- Replace pressure regulators and flashback arrestors every five years from the manufacturing date.
- Twin gas hoses should be crimp-fitted or fitted with “Clamp 1 Ear” type clamps at all joints.
